The name of the Sydney suburb Airds was named by Governor Lachlan Macquarie (which was however not officially got approved until May 1976). Located in the government parts of City of Campbell town and Macarthur region, Airds is 56 kilometers south-west of the Sydney CBD.
It is basically a residential township where the housing estates were planned to minimize and separate out the amount of traffic and walkers. Greater margins of residences were acquired by the New South Wales Department of Housing.
