The story of the South Western Sydney suburb called Ambarvale began over 40,000 years ago by the Tharawal people as remnants to axe grinding grooves, shells and cave paintings have been found.
Formally opened in 1976, the name was derived from a property under former convict Samuel Larkin established in 1816. It is located 55 kilometres south west of CBD Sydney surrounded by the City of Campbelltown and Macarthur Region. The Sydney suburb is primarily residential in nature with private and public dwellings mixed.
