Box Hill is a Sydney suburb located 42 kilometers North West of the Sydney central business district. It is under the local government area of The Hills Shire and the City of Hawkesbury and forms part of the area known as the Hills District.
Box Hill was a farming area in the early 1900′s; the area to this day still has a lot of acreage area and has not changed heavily from the past. It still remains a rural area on the outskirts of Sydney.
It is surrounded by the suburbs of Scheyvilles, Maraylya, Kenthurst, Oakville, Nelson, Vineyard, River stone and Rouse Hill all of which have not been heavily developed and are still rural areas. There are no commercial, industrial or residential developments in Box Hill and hence no public transport or railway. It does have a small population with a postcode of 2765.
