Camperdown is an inner-city suburb of Sydney located 4 kilometres south-west of the CBD. It is a heavily-populated suburb and is famously home to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the University of Sydney and also the historic Camperdown Cemetery. This suburb was also once home to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children. The Hospital was later relocated to be next to Sydney’s west.
Similar to other inner city suburbs, Camperdown has a lot of Victorian terraced housing including many of single storey terraces. There are also several examples of semi-detached houses which became popular around the time of Australia’s Federation at the turn of the last century.
